Axient Welcomes Jay Kovacs, Senior Vice President for Growth Strategy

Axient has hired former KBR leader and Chief Engineer for Strategic Solutions, Jay Kovacs as Senior Vice President of Growth Strategies working directly for Chief Growth Officer, Dan Deans. Jay will lead strategy development, technical solutions, and provide subject matter expertise across the company’s top strategic pursuits, as well as lead innovations and solutioning for strategic technical capabilities including Axient’s Digital Engineering and Data Analytics practices.

Jay has over 35 years of experience in technical leadership roles at KBR, former SGT, Northrop Grumman Lockheed Martin and General Electric. Jay’s technical expertise spans systems and software engineering practices, CMMI, digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, and system architecture. Corporately, he has led strategy development, research and development, business development, strategic capture, and programs across the commercial, civil, defense, scientific, and academic communities.

As Axient continues its growth trajectory, Jay will identify new customers and markets as well as lead efforts across Axient as a senior solutions architect across growth/business development, capture, and proposal development efforts. Jay is based in Axient’s Arlington, VA office and is also President of the Pennsylvania State Graduate School Alumni Society (GSAS) Board of Directors. He is a Penn State Alumni Fellow and an INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional.
