Axient Welcomes Dr. Kuan Collins, Executive Director of Digital Innovation

Axient would like to wish a warm welcome to Dr. Kuan Collins, our new Executive Director of Digital Innovation.

Dr. Collins most recently led the SAIC team in support of the US Department of the Army DEVCOM DevSecOps implementation and transformation. This included upskilling, education, and organizational change management, all to improve DevSecOps in the Army for embedded systems for aviation and ground vehicles. She also led the SAIC team that is developing the SIL (System Integration Laboratory) specification for USSPACECOM. Dr. Collins led the development of AI capabilities for NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) and the digital transformation office.

Dr. Collins holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park, a master’s degree in Information Systems from Strayer University, and an executive Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Her areas of interest are blockchain, edge computing, artificial intelligence, augmented analytics, harnessing innovation, collaboration, creativity, scouting, and strategy. Her specialties include program management, systems engineering, client relationships, leadership, task management, customer satisfaction, and goal-oriented planning.

Dr. Collins will be in attendance at the Edge Computing World Executive Conference on October 11-12, where she has been nominated as an Edge Woman of the Year Finalist and will be speaking on Managing Defense & Security Application at the Edge and later on a panel discussion called Managing Distributed Applications.
