Axient Appoints New Vice President of Aviation Systems Business Unit

Jason Galindo has been promoted to Vice President of the Aviation Systems Business Unit in the Defense Systems Segment at Axient. This business unit’s outstanding team of acquisition professionals are industry experts in Army and Air Force Aviation Systems and sub-systems. Mr. Galindo will manage contracts and teams across Axient’s Aviation portfolio, including the U.S. Army’s PEO Aviation, USAF Special Operations Force Fixed and Rotary Wing fleet, and the Army National Guard Aviation HQ.
Jason Galindo started with Axient in 2022 and is a 25-year veteran of the United States Army, having served as both an enlisted Noncommissioned Officer and as an officer. He was commissioned as an Army Aviator and Maintenance Test Pilot in 1990. He was qualified in the UH-1 Iroquois, OH-58 Kiowa, and the AH-1 Cobra. His assignments include the 82nd Airborne Division, the 25th Infantry Division, and the National Training Center, Ft. Irwin, CA. He transitioned to the Army Acquisition Corp in 1990 and served in multiple assignments, including the Comanche Helicopter TRADOC Systems Management office, PEO Aviation, and PEO Missiles and Space. Mr. Galindo retired in 2011 as the Product Manager for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System Integrated Fire Control.
Prior to Axient, Mr. Galindo progressed through numerous position and responsibilities at DigiFlight, The Lockwood Group, and KBR, including Acquisition Analyst, Program Manager, and Director. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Wright State University, a master’s degree in acquisition and program management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Level III Certification in Program Management from the Defense Acquisition University.
