Axient Appoints New Vice President of Air Force Business Unit

Joel Abrahams has been promoted to Vice President of the Air Force Business Unit in the Defense Systems Segment at Axient. This business unit’s outstanding team of engineers and scientists are industry experts in Air and Missile Defense, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Hypersonics, Acquisition, and Digital Engineering. He will manage contracts and teams across Axient’s Air Force portfolio, to include its AF Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC), AF Test Center (AFTC), AF Research Laboratory (AFRL), and AF Special Operations Command (AFSOC) customers.

Joel Abrahams is an accomplished leader who has dedicated his career to the field of engineering services with the Department of Defense and US Air Force. Mr. Abrahams holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Tennessee Technological University, a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Tennessee and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He first leveraged his education as an M&S software developer at the AFTC Arnold Engineering Development Center and progressed over his 19-year career through numerous positions and responsibilities at Aerospace Testing Alliance, Jacobs, and Axient, including analysis, project management, program management, and most recently as Executive Director at Axient.
