Axient Corporate Overview
Discover our breakthrough solutions for mission success.
Learn MoreAxient has a long history of providing multi-domain test, evaluation, and analysis expertise to our Defense and Space customers’ complex platforms and systems, from pre-mission planning to post-mission analysis.
We are embedded and experienced at the Nation's leading test ranges and facilities across our Space and Defense customers. We deliver test planning, execution, operations, and range safety services as well as innovative solutions for range displays, data processing, multi-sensor data fusion, and implementing technology upgrades and modernization activities to enhance range capabilities.
Axient partners across NASA Centers with engineering, flight planning, flight instrumentation, fabrication, integration, test, range coordination, airworthiness certification, and project management to advanced aeronautics research, flight testing, airborne science, structural loads testing, and high fidelity real-time aerospace vehicle simulations.
Axient performs loads and structural dynamic assessments of the integrated vehicle and its elements for NASA’s SLS program. Our efforts include integrated vehicle loads analysis, flight loads reconstruction, finite element modeling (FEM), hydro-elastic fluid modeling, and structural test expertise. The integrated loads analysis includes loads simulations for the rollout from the VAB to the pad, prelaunch pad stay, liftoff, boost phase flight, core stage flight, thrust oscillation, and various off-nominal events.
Axient is a leader in Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) software and hardware for scene generation for system integration, testing, and system in the loop modeling and simulation. We have developed and interfaced a versatile suite of tools for radar design and analysis that includes Receiver Transmitter (R/T), Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), and a PC cluster to emulate parallel processing on power-PC-based DSPs. These tools are designed for efficient and cost-effective transitions between the computer lab and the hardware using in-situ software and firmware development as part of the analysis and design process.
Axient delivers development, evaluation, test, deployment, and management across MDA’s entire missile defense system through: test, exercise and wargames; ground and flight test; weapons systems engineering; and MBSE to expedite the development and test of systems.
Axient has engineering expertise in flight and ground testing of aircraft, missiles, munitions and instrumentation, wind tunnels, and propulsion test facilities. Axient’s work includes: aeronautics research; mechanical, electrical, structural, aerodynamic, thermodynamics, and related aeronautics engineering; advanced, high precision wind tunnel systems engineering expertise; and modeling for testing in all aerodynamic regimes - from subsonic through hypersonic, instrumentation and sensors, fabrication and assembly, and integration and test.
