At Axient, we believe that placing focus on the people and communities both within our company and where our employees live, work, and play is the foundation of our corporate culture. We recognize that our people and our communities are the keys to our success, both in and outside of the workplace. Our steadfast commitment to being active participants and stewards of the communities, causes, and passions of our people is central to who we are.
In line with this commitment, our dedicated team of Axcelerators in Action recently rallied at Children in Crisis in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This remarkable non-profit organization is devoted to providing homes that not only shelter dreams but also nurture them. Their mission is to foster a community where the echoes of resilience drown out the whispers of past struggles, while keeping brothers and sisters together.
Since its inception in 2008, CIC has provided a safe and nurturing environment to over 1000 children. The CIC neighborhood consists of an Emergency Shelter, five family foster homes, and the Opportunity Home, which includes eight studio apartments for young adults who have aged out of foster care. Additionally, CIC offers wrap-around services through Kay’s Cupboard, King Whitmire Therapy Center, Kids Clubhouse, and the Administrative Offices.
