Axient Announces Future Leaders Program

Axient kicked off our inaugural Axient Future Leaders (AFL) program in June with employee participation across all of our customer segments and functional corporate teams with leadership and mentorship from each of our senior leaders. Future Leaders were selected based on their career accomplishments and potential, along with their ability to lead and influence others. More importantly, Axient believes those chosen for this program have the talent, energy, and characteristics to significantly grow with Axient.

In support of Axient’s core value for career development and growth, Future Leaders will take a year-long journey building relationships with senior leadership and exploring topics designed to equip them for future leadership opportunities. Their acceptance into the program requires their personal commitment to investing in their growth and using the experience to make a positive impact at Axient.

The inaugural Axient Future Leaders program began with a two-day session on June 16^th and 17^th at our headquarters in Huntsville, AL. The initial meeting provided an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Axient from senior-level executives, followed by special activities designed to build relationships with fellow future leaders. Monthly training sessions, executive/AFL one-on-one discussions, and 2- to 3-day sabbaticals are also planned to provide opportunities for Future Leaders to increase their awareness of Axient capabilities, expand their knowledge of customer missions, and gain first-hand experiences with other leadership teams.

Beginning in July, selected senior leaders will host monthly sessions to discuss relevant leadership topics. Each session will require AFLs to prepare for the discussion by listening to podcasts, reading a book, and/or gathering information. Each session is intended to be interactive and engaging for all involved.

One of the key elements of this program is the identification of effective mentors across the company who will invest in the AFLs’ growth, serve as advocates, and provide sound advice for the AFLs’ career development.

The 2022-2023 AFL program will culminate with a graduation and celebration event planned for June 2023.
